Luckily for the casual true crime enthusiast, it’s never been easier to binge the original “Unsolved Mysteries” completely free, no cable subscription required. The same might be said of the Netflix reboot, which has already received “hundreds of tips” since its July release, the show’s co-creator Terry Dunn Meurer told. Thanks to the show’s fame, over 260 cases featured in the series were eventually solved through the show’s tip line, where viewers could submit any relevant information they might have on a case that aired. The original “Unsolved Mysteries” remains among the most famous true crime shows to date, having investigated hundreds of crimes and quandaries that went unsolved for decades. And there's great news for those who are just now diving into the series: Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries” is a reboot of the iconic, Emmy-nominated cable TV show by the same name, which premiered in 1987 and ran until 2010. Most true crime fans have already started puzzling over one of Netflix’s latest releases, “ Unsolved Mysteries,” which highlights six new cases that are sure to leave viewers scratching their heads.
